Diagnostic Trouble Code
P0222 — Throttle Position Sensor B — Circuit Low Input
Throttle Position Sensor B — Circuit Low Input
Definition
The ECM is reading an abnormally low voltage from throttle position sensor B. Since TPS B is the redundancy check for TPS A, a low signal here will cause the ECM to enter a protective reduced power mode.
Common Causes
- Failed throttle position sensor B
- Open signal wire between TPS B and ECM
- Shorted ground in the TPS B circuit
- Faulty electronic throttle body assembly
