Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance/Stuck Off
Definition
The torque converter clutch (TCC) is not engaging or is slipping when commanded. The TCC locks the torque converter at highway speeds to eliminate slippage and improve fuel economy.
Common Causes
- Faulty TCC solenoid
- Worn torque converter clutch material
- Contaminated or low transmission fluid
- Valve body issue affecting TCC apply pressure
- Wiring issue to TCC solenoid
