Definition
The post-catalyst fuel trim on Bank 1 is indicating a lean condition. The downstream O2 sensor is detecting that the exhaust leaving the catalytic converter has too much oxygen.
Common Causes
- Exhaust leak between the catalytic converter and rear O2 sensor
- Faulty downstream O2 sensor
- Catalytic converter inefficiency
- Persistent lean condition from upstream (P0171)
