Carbon Monoxide

A poisonous gas formed when a carbon fuel is burned incompletely. In motor vehicle emissions, a high CO reading means too much fuel. Fuel can only come from three sources: the crankcase control system, the evaporative control system, or the actual fuel delivery system.
