Check Engine Light

1996 and newer light-duty vehicles have On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) systems. If your vehicle finds a problem, it will illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), commonly called the "Check Engine Light." The MIL indicates an emissions-related fault has been detected.
