Feedback Fuel System

A type of fuel system capable of monitoring the air-fuel ratio and adjusting it to maintain maximum efficiency. Feedback fuel systems always have an oxygen sensor or an air/fuel sensor to monitor the engine exhaust and provide feedback to the vehicle's on-board computer. Every light-duty vehicle built since the 1988 model year is equipped with a feedback fuel system.
