MIL Command Status

When the OBD system finds a problem, it illuminates the MIL and sets a flag indicating it is trying to illuminate the MIL. The MIL Command Status indicator accounts for the possibility of a MIL bulb not working or being on due to an electrical fault. The MIL Command Status (rather than the MIL itself) is used to determine whether a vehicle has an emissions defect.
