The Ford PCM has detected a critical transmission fault. The transmission may enter limp mode or exhibit harsh shifting. On PowerShift (DPS6) dual-clutch transmissions, this is an extremely common failure.

Immediate Action
If the transmission is slipping or the vehicle shudders violently, stop driving and tow. If in limp mode, drive slowly to the nearest safe location.
